Future Animators
Future Animators is a youth initiative that supports secondary school students at Manurewa High School working in 3D animation.
Animation still by Kirk Rao
Established in 2013, Future Animators has evolved into an exciting programme providing unique opportunities for students to share the development of their skills and learn what it means to display their work in a public gallery.
Throughout the year, students research, develop and refine a digital animation short towards an exhibition in August. Te Tuhi provides support for students through workshops and feedback sessions. By combining practical skills and professional guidance Future Animators enables students to test their ideas in a supportive environment and explore pathways into the arts and creative fields.
Future Animators is supported by Auckland Council and Nathan Homestead.
